In the early winter of 2009, Seongbuk Museum of Art was opened in Seongbuk-dong. Seongbuk Museum of Art has a very special meaning because it is the first museum established autonomously. The Museum views the art history of Korea and researches its value as an academic place. And it is a challenging place for the artistic resource that is newly created. Moreover, it is a place of communication which freely encounters with people through art.
