For more than 30 years, Park Ryu Sook Gallery has been committed to introducing progressive contemporary art to both domestic and international market. Founded in 1983 by the eponymous art dealer, Park Ryu Sook Gallery is recognized as the pioneer of creating what is now a vibrant contemporary art scene in Gangnam area of Seoul. The gallery has been introducing leading international artists to domestic audiences, providing opportunities to observe the current development in the contemporary art world. In 2007, the gallery opened its second location in Jeju Island. Moving its platform to a private setting, it focuses on setting a dialogue between contemporary art and domestic environment.
