Specializing in media art since its December 2000 opening, Art Center Nabi is intended as a kind of mediator, guiding the cultural desires of the new technology environment toward more vibrant forms of activity. The word nabi literally means “butterfly” in Korean, and like the multifaceted transformation process of the butterfly, it has engaged in creative reinterpretations of our endlessly changing technology. Like the mature butterfly floating from flower to flower and helping them to bear fruit, it has sought ways of achieving convergence between art genres and disciplines.
