The Lee Ungno Museum opened its doors to the public in May, 2007. The Museum is dedicated to presenting the art of Lee Ungno, whose life was devoted to exploring the value of life through art, crossing over the boundaries between East and West, between the traditional and the modern, and to continuing his artistic spirit. In February, 2012, the Museum inaugurated the independent corporation, The Daejeon Goam Art & Culture Foundation in order to enhance its own independent and professional museum operation.
