The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Gwancheon(MMCA Gwancheon), designed by architect Tae-Soo Kim, opend in 1986. The building offers a superb balance of traditional spatial design and modern functionalities, while the surrounding scenic vistas are a popular spot for visiting families. MMCA Gwancheon consist of eight exhibition galleries, holding special and permanent exhibitions, as well as the Children’s Museum. The outdoor sculpture garden introduces are to a natural setting, while the indoor galleries showcase Korean contemporary art.
