Typojanchi: International Typography Biennale is an international biennale hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and supervised jointly by the Korea Craft & Design Foundation and the organization committee of international typography biennale in order to tell the world of the excellent modeling of Hangeul and its cultural value and to prepare an exchanging center for the expansion of the value of Korean design culture. Typojanchi: International Typography Biennale has been held biannually; In odd year, the main event is held for biennale and in even year, the pre-biennale is held. In 2019, the 6th year of will be held by the participation of worldwide artists from 14 countries and 218 teams as of the year 2017. The biennale puts an effort to make better design culture by continuously studying the communication power and cultural potential handwritings retain, and the artistic possibility.
