This exhibition is a continuation of a series of projects encompassing exhibitions of emerging artists from different countries, organised by the State Hermitage Museum.

Following the displays of American, British, French and Japanese artists, the Hermitage 20/21 Project turns to the art of South Korea. The exhibition offers an insight into a phenomenon that is yet practically unknown to the Russian audience: modern South Korean art scene.

Both budding and established artists display their works produced in a variety of media, including installation, painting, sculpture, pottery, embroidery, video art and photography. The exhibition features a total of sixteen artists, among them Gosari, Young In Hong, Lee Young Baek, Sekyung Lee, Doowon, Cody Choi, Jungho Oak, Baek Jungki, Won Woo Lee, Da In Park and others.

The exhibition was prepared together with PCA (Parallel Contemporary Art) and Saatchi Gallery with the support of Hana Bank. After the end of the exhibition period, the collection will go on display at the Saatchi Gallery, London (summer 2020), and in Seoul (autumn 2020).
