Audio Visual Pavilion (AVP) is hosting MeeNa Park’s solo exhibition, Why rain drop overlapped blue faced golden bear at the circus? from April 24 to June 7, 2020. The solo exhibition will feature over 180 works from the Coloring Drawings and 12 Colors series, which the artist has continued since 1998. The exhibition will reveal details such as changing instructions, choosing between background and shape, and relationships between color and narratives of images at a glance.
For MeeNa Park, “drawing” is a methodology to collect and test the customs of color, form, and drawing. In the Why rain drop overlapped blue faced golden bear at the circus? exhibition, the artist displays several new systems that are different from previous drawings. The individual titles of the works illustrate a similarity in the manner that they are phrased in, as the exhibition title was composed through association and application.
