The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA, Director Youn Bummo), presented the exhibition 《Park Rehyun Retrospective: Triple Interpreter》 in commemoration of the centennial birth anniversary of the female artist emblematic of the 20th-century Korean art scene from 29 September 2020 to 3 January 2021 at MMCA Deoksugung.

Park Rehyun (1920–1976) initially studied Japanese painting during the Japanese occupation of Korea, but later pursued a style of painting that was more modernized and reflective of Korean sentiments, producing abstract paintings, tapestries, and prints that transcend not only media and techniques but also the Asian territory to speak to art scenes around the globe.
