Hakgojae Gallery is pleased to present works by JANG Jaemin (b. 1984) in his solo exhibition, Owl’s Forest, on view from October 14th (Wed) to November 15th (Sun), 2020. This is JANG’s first solo exhibition in Hakgojae Gallery. Hakgojae Gallery has continuously presented exhibitions that introduced both Korean and international young artists to establish a foundation for tomorrow by grasping today’s trends. JANG is a young painter drawing great attention from the contemporary art world. He paints semi-abstract landscapes using vigorous brushstrokes, high in viscosity. He usually paints underdeveloped areas. Experiences from unfamiliar places are the motives for his works. 24 paintings created during his residency in Bretagne, France, and Cheonan, Korea, are on view in this exhibition.
