MoMA presents 《Sung Hwan Kim's Temper Clay》. This exhibition is presented as part of The Hyundai Card Performance Series.

The artist describes his video, Temper Clay, as "a re-sketching of King Lear".
He was inspired by "a play written around a father, and daughters exchanging real estate properties of love, loyalty, and class reaffirmation." He combines images of his parents' home in the Hyundai apartment complex in Seoul and his family's country home in this video. Thus, he analyzes the dynamics of the contemporary Korean family from the perspective of different generations and social classes.

...Old fond eyes, Beweep this cause again,
I’ll pluck ye out
And cast you, with the waters that you loose
to temper clay...
–William Shakespeare, King Lear
