Gana Art holds Sarah Kim's solo show 《Psychic Road Trip》 from June 30 to July 24, 2022.

Sarah Kim(b.1994) is a Brooklyn-based artist and a Korean-Canadian-American born in Nashville, Tennesse. The artist had long felt isolated with a sense of not belonging to any of these worlds. She began to create a landscape which is a combination of different places in her memories and explored her internal world as a remedy.

Kim’s recent works show her unique artistic process of cutting, stretching, and recreating a three-dimensional image like a tapestry with old clothes she wore or donated from her friends. The old clothes which came to the artist at the end of their lives associate with different memories of the previous wearers. Kim’s landscape embodies her feeling of isolation, but the artist focused more on the joyful aspect with fantastical and hopeful motifs she has developed for a long time. In this solo show, Sarah Kim’s artworks full of personal memories and attachments capture the healing moments and solitude that the artist has experienced.
