This exhibition is an inaugural exhibition of P21 with a solo show by Choi Jeong Hwa, a celebrated international artist based in Korea.
P21, a gallery and art agency dedicated to contemporary art created in present day by mid-career and rising artists, is strategically located in the heart of Seoul, Itaewon disctrict. P21 is a second brand of a parent company Park Ryu Sook Gallery which was conceived in an effort to evolve along the pace of current art market and bolster the program of the next generation.
Installed in two separate storefront cubes, Choi Jeong Hwa’s newest works made for this exhibition respond to the gallery’s unique space. Choi, who is better known for his large-scale outdoor installations often using plastic as core medium, explores new dimensions as he works with aged materials to create intensively concentrated objects.
