Haegue Yang, the Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award (Presidential Citation) in the Visual Arts Sector

Haegue Yang(b. 1971) has been named the recipient of the Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award (Presidential Citation) in the Visual Arts sector by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Do Jonghwan; hereafter MCST). This year, the MCST announced a total of 31 recipients for the 2018 Person of Merit, Development of Culture and Arts citation which is categorized into three divisions: Order of Cultural Merit, Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award, and Today's Young Artist Award. Yang has been awarded ‘The Republic of Korea Culture and Arts Award,’ which is bestowed on an outstanding individual in each of the following five sectors: General Culture, Literature, Visual Arts, Music, and Theater/Dance. The award ceremony will take place in the Multi-Project Hall, located on B1F of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul at 2pm on 24 OCT 2018.
