Alternative Space Loop is looking for independent curators to program and realize contemporary art exhibitions that open up new formal and discursive possibilities for art shows. This new initiative is rooted in our belief that independent curators are cultural activists able to offer new perspectives for the art world, unaffiliated as they are to specific institutions or organizations. We seek to offer support to bold and innovative curatorial projects that explore the public value of contemporary art exhibitions and redefine the social role of the curator.

＊Please note that this call for independent curators is separate from the call for artists (support for solo exhibitions). Applications to curate the applicant’s own solo show will not be considered for review.

Conditions for proposed project
－Any theme
－Any genre
－Exhibitions which already have been shown will be excluded.

Support
－Exhibition at LOOP in the second half of 2021
－Promotional materials (leaflet)
－Official social media support for the exhibition.
－A small curator-fee

Qualification for applicant
－No restrictions. Any Age, Education, Nationality are welcome to apply.
