Launched in London's Picadilly Circus in October 2020, CIRCA is a digital art platform that introduces works of rising artists' works on a global network of screens in major cities around the world.

Each month CIRCA invites an artist and selects a new artwork to display on the digital screens in London, Tokyo, and Seoul. The past participants include Ai Weiwei, Patti Smith, Emma Talbot, and David Hockney. For this month, Josef O'Connor, the artistic director for this project, collaborated with the Seoul Museum of Art to presents Seoul-based artist, Sojung Jun's film, "Green Screen".

Sojung Jun is the first Korean artists to be selected in this global project. Throughout the month of August, "Green Screen" is played at 8:21p.m every day at Seoul's COEX K-pop square, London's Picadilly Lights, and Tokyo's Yunika Vision.

"Green Screen" presents the landscape, the Demilitarized Zone which is a land that serves as a border between the North and the South Korea. In this film, the land has become an "ecotopia". She presents a dreamlike vision of Korea as a re-united ecotopia in the films; Her films demonstrate the potential for public art to overcome ideological and political conflicts with artistic imagination.

“This work embodies and exemplifies everything that CIRCA stands to represent as a platform. In an era of heightened divisions, between individuals and groups within the global society, we are honoured to present Jun’s work as a shining example of art's potential to evade and overcome boundaries of conflict and geographical separation. Both these landmark works not only transcend the fiercest geopolitical divisions, they present to us all a glimpse of public art’s ever-present power to forge moments of unity.” Josef O’Connor, Artistic Director, CIRCA
