Ah-Bin Shim

Ah-Bin Shim shows a series of thought process regarding life and reality through her painting, video and installation works. Simple and intuitive way of her visual language often delivers humor which marks Shim’s style of work. She attempts to reveal raw, honest emotions by getting at the fundamentals of human existence, and in so doing hopes to call attention to the meaning of life and offer some consolation in the face of the ineluctable solitude and pain of existence. Ah-Bin Shim was born in 1976 in Korea and currently lives and works in Seoul, Korea.
