Since its establishment, the Songam Foundation has consistently executed projects for public interest, such as research and exhibitions of antique and modern artworks and study of Chinese classics alongside scholarship programs. In 2010 the foundation opened the OCI Museum of Art by renovating the exhibition hall belonged to the Foundation, located in Susong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and is dedicated to the evolvement of Korean contemporary art. The OCI Museum of Art is now fully functioning, presenting profound exhibitions and reinforcing its programs of supporting artists with goals of raising awareness of the social role of art museum in contemporary society and establishing a base for the growth of Korean contemporary art. The museum will continue to implement its programs and supporting the activities of artists in the mainstream of the art world. It will also help establish the foundation of contemporary art culture through diverse planned exhibitions which may provide opportunities of cultural enjoyment.
